You shouldn’t sacrifice comfort for style. It’s amazing how many women I know who buy an incredible pair of shoes only to never wear them again because they are too painful. Think about the style of the shoes as well. A pair of trendy leather boots isn’t going to be as versatile as a cute pair of medium heeled sandals.
Getting versatile shoes rings even truer when you are going after high end shoes. Obviously if you’re grabbing a $30 pair of shoes, you don’t have to be as cautious. However, if you are spending $200 on a pair of designer shoes, then don’t you want to get a lot of use out of them. I know I would.
Concentrate on shoes that remain in style. Put simply, avoid trends. The trendier the shoes, the more likely they will go out of fashion quickly.
